Pince & Pints

I have finally tried Pince & Pints after so long! Decided to have our advance birthday dinner there (perfect reason to splurge because it's our birthday! XD) and we queued for about half an hour for the seats, I was expecting at least an hour waiting or so. There are only 3 items on the menu at one price ($48) which make ordering pretty easy, lobster, lobster and lobster lol! The lobsters are imported directly from Boston, Maine & Canada and a whole lobster is used in each dish! We ordered a live whole lobster, you can choose from either grilled and steamed and we opted for the grilled version! And of course we have to order the highly raved lobster roll, wanted to try the chilli lobster but there was only 2 of us so next time maybe!

Both the items we ordered was served with mesclun salad and straight cut fries but with different sauces. The grilled lobster comes with the herbed butter sauce while the lobster roll comes with garlic aioli. The lobster was so fresh and goes very well with the sinful butter sauce, just can't stop dipping the fries into the sauce as well, but i prefer shoestring fries though..lol! Ok, the lobster roll is the bomb! A must order if you visiting this place! Crispy and fluffy buttery bread roll stuffed with huge chunks of lobster, the servings were really generous~ The roll itself is already extremely delicious and with the succulent and fresh lobster meat, every bite was just so satisfying. Missing the lobster roll already, would really love to be back if not for the wait and price..haha!

BKK 2014

Bumped into Andhini who was happily shopping in Platinum as well..hahaha! Ok, my luggage is bigger XD

DAY 1
This was my 3rd time to BKK and I still can't get enough of the shopping, the food and the massage there! Well, I don't think I will..haha! Lucky us managed to book the SQ flight with the promotion price which was really really cheap, can't remember how much exactly but we only spent $300+ each for both hotel and flight..hehe! We stayed in Abloom apartment this time and they upgrade our studio room to a suite for free, yeay!! Had our lunch at the hotel's cafe because we were too hungry to the extent that we can't make it to platinum foodcourt..hahaha!! The food was really good, I love my phad thai! Headed to Platinum after lunch and we shopped there for 6 hours?! We did stop for drinks and food to replenish our energy, lol! Found this newly opened boat noodle restaurant at the platinum food court and we decided to try it out. We ordered the dry and soup version and both were equally nice! Dinner was at a very authentic jap restaurant in Asok, will post about it soon x)

DAY 2
We always choose to go bkk during weekends so that we won't miss the chatuchak market as it only open during weekends. It's one of the largest market in the world with more than 8000 stalls which spread over 27 sections. Some might find chatuchak an absolute idea of hell because of the overwhelming crowd and the hot humid weather but i personally thought that as long as you choose the section wisely, you will find LOTS of amazing stuff which you can't see elsewhere. The market is categorized into different sections so make sure you are at the correct area to shop for what you want, else you will be wasting your time going through dozens of tiny narrow lanes. As for the food, there are numerous food stalls selling all sorts of delicious thai food, mainly at section 19 if im not wrong. There's this super famous pork chop stall hidden in area 22 which we chanced upon and i was so delighted to know that it's the grilled honey roast pork that I have been telling shen sim the night before~ Hands down to the best honey roasted pork chop I have ever eaten! The meat was so so so juicy, sweet, soft and tender omg im craving for it already!! Non-stop snacking and shopping at chatuchak for the whole day, we spent a total of 8 hours there and went back to hotel with lots of loots hehehe!

DAY 3
Nothing much on our last day in bkk, we went for a 2 hours foot massage after breakfast and brunch at Roast Coffee & Eatery (non-stop eating lol) before we set off to airport. Brunch was not bad and I quite like the ambiance there! Picture above was our loots for the entire BKK trip and only 2 rows were belonged to Shen Sim, the rest are all mine hahaha wth XD Ok, this concluded our short and sweet bkk trip with lots of shopping and food (as usual)! 3 days well spent at the land of smiles and I can't wait to be back this year, i guess bkk has officially became the destination of my annual year-end trip..lol!!
